Exclusive Naming Rights to our new LEAP Sensory Room
Our new sensory room is an absolute favorite of our adults in the LEAP Program, allowing them an opportunity to play, socialize and improve their motor skills. The equipment for our sensory room is used to achieve a multi-sensory environment that can be designed to stimulate a specific sense or multiple senses at once- this can include lights, colored objects and projectors to visually stimulate and entertain. They can be interactive to introduce tactile stimulation and improve motor skills. Sound-sensitive items can be incorporated to provide audiitory stimulation and allow individuals to experiment with creating sound. Soft play objects and interactive stations are also used. We have outfitted this new room with a state-of-the-art Tover and sensory room system. The Tover projects engaging light games onto surface designed to stimulate on a social, physical, sensory and cognitive level. Our individuals can do anything from score a goal in a soccer game, to deep sea fishing, painting and more!
